The reason why she didn't make it into the show was that hasbro only kept the patents for applejack and spike. They never renewed any others from the first series. So sad... but we cant get sued for making moolah for g1 stuff!

Don't be too hard on yourself. I mean for a first try that's pretty amazing. I don't I would be able to that not even with years of sewing skills.
