Postby Siead » Fri Mar 09, 2012 6:31 am

just wondering if anyone else paints/plays with mini war game figures?
warhammer, 40k, Hordes/warmachine, Reaper minis, anything.
i don't play, but i paint tons of them.
this is one of my faves. it's a Reaper spirit wolf done up like Okami'a Ammy.

I have in the past, but haven't in awhile.

Reaper minis are my favorite, but I tend to give those away when done, so I don't think I have any finished ones around. I can look. My favorite ever was painting the griffon. He was gorgeous and so fun to do.
I think I have some random elves and such sitting around. They have their black coat, but I never got around to doing them. Maybe I'll get out to an art store and see if I can find some tiny brushes and finish one. (All of my bity brushes are overused and won't detail that tiny anymore)

I also did the warhammer giant, and it may still be floating around my friend's house. I never played the game, but they did so I let them use it. I actually should dig him out again. He had a pair of custom wings added, but I was never satisfied with the paint job on them. Maybe I could redo them.

I do! Huge wargaming fan, though I'm still working at getting better at the painting side. Last painting I did was for a friend's birthday. I also finished an entire army, but I sold it. I guess once I'm "done" I try to move on? I really like some of the paintjobs at this scale, they're amazing. I can only hope to be just as good some day.

I have a couple of figs done by a friend of mine I might try to get a picture of some time.

I like your Okami-inspired paint job! I particularly love the base. Good job!

I used to paint my brothers warhammer armies back when I was in high school, apparently I didn't do too bad because he ended up selling the whole Spacemarine and Tao army for a decent price.
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.
