You did WHAT? WHERE?? HOW??? Share the knowledge or explain once again why we use chalk pastels and not oils.

Can I iron this?

Got a fabric you're not sure if you can iron? What setting should you use? Steam or no steam? Do other people know the answer?

Can I iron brocade with metallic threads? It was folded at the fabric store but doesn't have any serious wrinkles.

If I don't know how something should be ironed; I opt for low setting, no steam... and see if it works, if it isn't working, up it one setting and try again. Also test on an edge or corner that you can cut around if need be. I have ironed brocade with metallic thread before, without incident.

Thanks for the tip. I'll definitely try a corner or a scrap first.
