Recommended List of Materials

COPY AND PASTED FROM JS FORUMS!
With some updates/added :D

-

11/2 - Updated... I had to break this up into multiple posts due to a URL max-out for this list (dunno how I posted it all at once the first time...), and move some of the sections into a second, third, fourth, etc post :? Sorry about that!
Thanks for the adds, Biff!

Ok, I've heard a lot of different brand names tossed around for different materials - pastels, acrylics, watercolor pencils....

I figured to have ALL of the best to use brands of all the supplies needed for modding/faceups in one place can just make it neat and easy to right them down and run off to the store/order

I just got my little Marrone obi, planning for later DZ blank head and bodies, and the "must have it correct"ness in me is chomping for straight up info...which is what made me think of having it all in one place...

I'll do some researching in this forum and try to fill in as many blanks as possible, (and adding to the list) but would REALLYREALLY appreciate replies and what you think, especially since the present is the present! (as in, what could have been greatest a year ago, may not be used now, etc) If I remember, can find, or know of where I got the information from (a lot of it is from memory or pre-knowledge), I'll try to credit x.x

This can also help the newcomers that came recently, and for later arrivals whenever they should appear...

So, the question for any replies/recommendations are:
From those with experience, what are your recommended best materials to use for faceups, - any scale, and for both Vinyl and Resin? (does it matter? (actual question, not sarcasm o_O; )

Has anyone ever used Prismacolor watercolor pencils, or they don't work for some reason?
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.
