Gum Arabic and Doll hair?

Would gum arabic work with doll hair? I want to style rococo hair, but I am not sure how to keep it up with saran hair. Would it work or would it become sticky or remain sticky or do you have a better idea? Please help

Diluted Elmer's Glue. It works on people hair, and should do for doll hair.
