That's like where all my fabric comes from. Socks, old clothes, scraps...

Well, I haven't bought clothes specifically to make doll clothes from, but any of my own clothes that don't survive the laundry cycle go into the sewing bag to become doll clothes >_<
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

I have a never ending supply of clothes my family purchases at the thrift store. My husband tends to over load the washer and dryer so I also have a fairly steady flow of clothes that get chewed up or shredded in the dryer. They all become food for my sewing machine.

Anyone has pattern for making sweater out of socks? I saw one tutorial in other topic (haven't tried it yet as I saw it few minutes ago) but I would like to have more. My mom has been searching for one for past few hours and said that she couldn't find anything.

I will pick up fabric from all kinds of places. Sometimes its clothes of mine/the Hubby that has lived it's life out. Sometimes its dollar store stuff. My mom sews a lot so I often get her scrap pieces that are too small to make any people sized stuff with. I even have friends send me fabric. Recently my father-in-law moved and in the cleaning/pack up of his house, I ended up with at least a dozen scarves.

I use my own old clothes that I no longer wear to make clothes for my dolls sometimes! :)

Crazy Kimochi, seriously, those outfits are wonderful. I'm jealous of your sewing skills. Did you use the existing hems/borders?

Forgive me, I was knackered when I wrote that, I just realized I spelled your name wrong

Do the buttons really open? I don't think so to be honest..? So how do you put it on, is the real closure at the back?
