No, the buttons don't open, I could make it to where they can, but I'm lazy, lol~ There's no closure in the back, the neck part is wide enough for the dolly to slide her body in. :D

I just finished lounge / pajama pants from the sleeves of a toddler PJ top I found at thrift store for $1.00.
The wrist bands made perfect already made waist band, and the pattern of tiny school buses etc is cute!
Just cut off the sleeves of toddler pajamas :)

Reviving this thread...

I love being able to recycle clothes. It makes me feel less wasteful than throwing them away, I feel like I save money, and the outfit is usually more meaningful as a result.

Here's Angelina showing off her "upcycled" outfit. The top is made from an old sock I used to love as a kid, and the pants are made from a pain of my roommate's beat-up cutoffs.

I do it all the time to find better deals on used fabrics. I buy old clothes and turn them into new outfits for my dolls. I have made pants, skirts, dresses, shirts, and more.

I confiscated so many clothes we were gonna toss for the extra fabric its not even funny (okay maybe it is) I literally have a bin full of fabric. I wish I sewed more often.

Oh, one of the first things I did when I had ordered my doll was hit the thrift store.
I've made a coat from an old wool sports coat I found there (no doll yet, but I just could not wait!).

I'm not fond of my button choice.

Yeah, that's my sleeve ham standing in for a doll. With the palm of my hand visible and looking slightly creepy below.
And that's the door of my sewing room.

Khale has a new outfit. The over robe was made from a shirt of mine that had reached the end of its wearable cycle *sniffs*. I loved the shirt so much, I couldn't bear to throw it out so I made Khale an outfit out of it. The under robe is sheer fabric I got... somewhere. All ribbon trim was from the dollar store.
