Online fabric sources

List of fabric places, if you can't find a fabric your looking for, for your doll... along with a sewing supply link and a link to lotsa of beadings and stuff to dress up your doll's clothing.

Fabric distributers (some only ship around the US x_x):

http://www.distinctivefabric.com/: Distinctive Fabrics - I've order from them before, they're very awesome. You can get up to 10 swatches free if you sign up (also free). It also sounds like they have been offering free swatches as of lately, to all. They often have monthly coupons via email, if you sign up, also. They rather active community-wise, with contests, etc.
They pretty much have everything under the sun...
They have brocades, silks, vinyls, faux furs, short furs, felts, etcetcetc.

http://www.syfabrics.com/default.aspx: Sy Fabrics - they have, ribbons, cords, lace and suedes, too.

http://www.hartsfabric.com/: Harts Fabrics - Has ribbons and trim, vinyl, "Costume Fabric", etc.

http://www.mjtrends.com/: MJ Trends - Velvet, vinyl, "snake/gator skin" vinyls, brocades, faux fur, faux suede, stretch stuff... also latex sheeting and other materials like zippers, cords, stretch lace, etc.

Extra materials, glitz and beads to add to your sewing!:

http://www.creativityinc.com/bluemoonbeads: (Bluemoon beads) - Noir, Manor House, Tokens, Royal Boheme, Enchanted Planet, Lost & Found, Global Nomad, etc "styles" - one and the same that you will find in JOann's, Michaels, etc craft stores. I love these...
This has a lot of both pendants and beadings, and both glass/acrylic-type, and metal-type. The pendants are anywhere from plain, to intricate.... themed to jewel-like. Stones to printed metal. There are also beading projects and beading techniques.

http://www.alphastamps.com/collageitemsmetal.html: A lot of metal stuff - you can find small clock gears, buttons, stamps, chains, metal charms, "metal charms for dolls", and other decorative items.

http://www.stanssewingsupplies.com/catalogs/store.asp?pid=235220&catid=32676: Stan's Sewing Supplies - lotsa zippers and stuff... buttons, scissors, elastics, overall buckles, snaps, seam rippers, hand sewing needles, leather, etc

https://www.mini-magic.com/ is a great store for top quality fabric, trims, notions etc. They cater to the antique and reproduction French fashion doll folks, so their stock can be pricey, but whoa is it nice quality and great for doll scale in weight, drape and pattern.
I especially like their mink thread for handsewing. It's really thin, strong for it's diameter and blends in well with the fabric.
Oh and on the whole other end of the spectrum, remember thrift stores. There is a great selection of fabric hanging on them there racks, disguised as clothing. I call it fabric on the hoof

www.cheaptrims.com

Drawnback: you have to buy the bolt.
Plus: it's often less than 5 yards worth of the trim in a store

A New York Garment District firm that buys ends and remnants and stuff being remaindered.

Fabric.com- They sell things in half yards, and have sales a lot. They also have fabric that's $1.95 a yard. They have trims and notions too. I've gotten tons of fabric from them, and it's all really nice quality. I love the stretch velvet I got from them.

I like http://www.fashionfabricsclub.com/. The will sell as little as 1/8 yard of many fabrics and have a good selection of cotton lawn and shirting in small prints.

I know it was mentioned already but I just have to say that spoonflower is amazing! I mostly have tinys and I can design three or four dresses from one 5 dollar piece. I no longer search for tiny prints in every fabric store I pass. I just log in and make my own.
