Hazel loves her husband very much! And is always worried about his safety. For those less familiar with Hazel and her story, the tall elf is her husband Elidor. He is in exile, living with her, since his kingdom was overrun by a sorceress. He was sent to Hazel, who is his fairy godmother, for protection and hiding. He has always loved her, and asked her to marry him. They have managed to build quite a court in exile here!
It's all about Hazel!

Hazel and Elidor have a host of defenders across dolliehdom! Sherris will be happy to wield her double-barrell shotgun in their defense (as she has no magic skills) and XII (who is a bit of a weather witch) will be happy to volunteer her services as well!

Hmmmm, so after reading Zirc's explanation I think I have a question - or idea perhaps. If Elidor's kingdom was taken over by a Sorceress and that has prevented him from going back to it all this time, then how could it be Chroma (whom we know is the one who attacked Avalon) when she's been a disarticulated skeleton possessing a nekomimi for lord knows how long? I mean, someone butchered and entrapped her ages ago so if she'd taken over Elidor's kingdom one would presume he could take it back once she was gone - unless she left very powerful minions in charge. Or, alternately, Chroma worked for/with the unnamed Sorceress so is an actual threat to Elidor/Hazel.
And I'm thinking the shadow being in the bushes is that protection that Oberon said he was sending.

Hazel and Elidor are adorable. I don't know why I've never noticed the wedding rings before!
