Personally I think Sidney is a cat girl whose ears and tail were amputated at birth. I thought this while reading the last episode, but now I'm really getting convinced of it.
Glad Jazz was able to rescue the data she'd backed up - perhaps we shall now learn more about the nekomimi manipulations!
