Ryan, Jim, and Patrick are planning a Sigma Chi Halloween party. You are not invited.
“All the stuff’s packed. You guys ready to go?” Patrick asked.
Ryan said, “I was thinking we could invite Micah and the friend he’s hanging out with today.”
“No way. He’ll bring Ivan,” Jim said. “That guy squicks me out.”
Patrick shuddered. “Ivan stares at your neck like a creep and Foster is like some sadistic ten year-old. Those weirdos are definitely NOT invited.”
“Hi, my name is Micah and I’m so lame the only friend I have is a creepy old vampire. My favorite things to do are read and be a dork.” The guys burst out laughing at Jim’s joke, though Ryan felt guilty about it.
Patrick said, “Let’s get going. We’ve got a house to decorate. Ryan, do you have the key to the gate?”
“Yeah, I’ve got it.” Ryan let out a sigh.
“Key to gate? Ooh, hey. I’m outta here. You wanna come with?” The plastic skeleton didn’t respond.
“Those moobs aren’t just for motorboating,” Patrick said to Jim with a snicker. “You can carry all the heavy stuff.”
“Don’t worry big guy, I’ll help you too. You’ll like my crib. Nothing but bones as far as the eye socket can see!”
*insert action hero theme music for McCoy while Patrick and Jim argued over who carried what*
“I’m just sayin, you’re stronger than ten men put together so you might as well carry ten men’s worth of boxes. It’s only fair. Besides, I don’t wanna spill my latte.” Jim grumbled under his breath. Arguing with Patrick was pointless.
“This is awkward.”
Meanwhile… in Micah’s room….
“How dare they call ME creepy?” Ivan harrumphs. “I’m awe-inspiring, majestic, and dead-sexy.”
“The dead part is spot on,” Foster said with a laugh. “Are you thinking what I’m thinking?”
“I’m thinking you two could help me fold your clothes,” Micah said.
“We don’t do peasant work,” Ivan and Foster said in unison.
“Explain why I let you stay at my apartment again?”
“Because you’re a kind-hearted and overly-trusting idiot, of course.” Foster burst out laughing. “I just had the most gloriously diabolical idea!”
“We’ll crash the party!”
“I’ll explain on the way. Come on!”
“They shall pay for not inviting us to their party!” Ivan said.
“Anything those royal knuckleheads try will go horribly wrong. You still sure you want to join them? You can always hang out with me instead.”
