Does anybody else just really enjoy washing your doll's hair? Obviously not like scrubbing it or anything, but just gently washing and conditioning it and brushing it out afterwards and then loving how soft it is after it's dry? I love that feeling for some reason . . . I'll wash my doll's hair regardless of if it needs it, just to enjoy the feeling of doing it. Is that weird?

Anybody else have something that might be considered a little odd and pointless that you enjoy doing with your dolls?

I really like having my dolls wear underwear. Not necessarily bras, but things to cover their lower regions.
My Ringdoll has a movable penis so the undies really help with that.

I'm a compulsive doll-balder. Pretty much as soon as I get a new vinyl doll home, I'm working her head off and cutting her hair off... I have an army of bald dollies.

The strangest thing I do, I think, is holding hands with dolls. I've held hands with myself since I was a really young baby, and it seems that any hand not belonging to another person will do. I've even caught myself doing it while holding my really tiny dolls.

I've got another one: I'm bad about making things for dolls that I will never actually need for a photoshoot, and then never end up even touching what I made again, just shoving it in the prop box and forgetting it.

Bought/made and ends up stored away too.

I also buy little plastic people with ideas in mind that never happen.

Another thing I do:


I sometimes just hold my dolls by their bodies and feel like a giant.

The last time I tried washing a doll’s hair, chunks of hair started to fall out and got intertwined between my fingertips like in some macabre horror movie.

So I never did that again. Nor buy another Monique wig.

I love to wash my Rini j pop wig once in a awhile.

I constantly tell my dolls I am sorry. I am to rough dressing them, I'm sorry. Accidentally drop them, sorry. Get wigs on wrong, sorry. I'm not bonding with them and decide to sell them, so sorry.
