I never know. It MIGHT be true, at least, parts of it.

The back story of Aimee's is a bit horrifying, to say the least. She comes from a land far beyond the horizon, where dragons never were mythological creatures and unicorns still dance in the fields and if you stand very very still, they might be curious enough to investigate you and perhaps, if you're one of the very lucky ones, to touch them for luck. Faeries dance on moonbeams and pixies help take care of your gardens, especially if you're a user of magic, or maybe, it's that the magic is using you.

Aimee had a loving mother and father, who lived into their late hundreds, until an accident ended their lives. She was then left to take care of her younger sisters and brothers (still waiting to come home to Aimee), until a man came along and spun a web of illusion around her, luring her into his web of deceit and lies.

A few months after meeting him and falling deeply in love with him, she finds out that he is the Demon King, Chlove (pronounced like the spice, clove, duh). As he realizes she knows the truth about him, he kidnaps her, leaving her younger siblings to fend for themselves in a world where magic sometimes uses YOU for it's own purpose, not always you using magic for your own ends.

She stays, unwillingly, with Chlove in the lower planes of Hell. Chlove uses her as a sex slave and sometimes, out of spite, sells her off to the highest bidder of lesser demons and daemons. (A daemon is a cross of human and angel.)

After awhile, Chlove senses that she's plotting an escape - and puts on her a slave collar, with a death ward cast upon it and her family to keep her from leaving. The abuse continues for another two hundred years, as being under his control keeps her from aging, as she's suspended in time and between worlds.

Chlove finds out she's pregnant with his child. Aimee also knows what fate will fall upon her son and that there is nothing she can do to prevent it. She gives birth and Chlove is there to remove the child born of grey skin and cloven hooves. He leaves her to die, as the birth was not an easy one and he gives permission to the lesser demons to enjoy her while she's still alive and possibly even after her passing. Now that Aimee has provided him with a child, he has no further use for her. Chlove has discarded her as though she is a bit of refuse as he has no more use for her.

Mairi, the Queen of the Sea of Bitterness comes to her rescue. After battling the dark lady, Kirran (the Queen of all Nine Planes of Hell), Mairi finds Aimee and sends her to where she is now, a place called Earth. There aren't many of her kind here - and some don't even realize who or what they are, or where they come from. They accept their existence and go on with their lives.

Mairi promises Aimee that some day, her son will find her - and he will be searching for something that has been lost, stolen from him. There will be a price to be paid, though. Aimee accepts her choices - to be free and alive, to heal and to be ready for the time when her son finds her - or die a torturous death at the hands of those who have already tortured her for sport, for fun, for their entertainment. She no longer has the strength to fight - and Mairi brings her to this place called Earth, in charge over two elven girls.

And this is where Aimee's story really begins...
