Aww he looks absolutely precious!

With the fur it reminds me of a Shepard's coat. Nicely done.

SugarCorpse. This pic is for you. Go read this blog post for more on the dog. Scroll past the shoe prototypes.

I'm working on Mark II of the furry Obitsu dog. Since I have another dog (clear) I thought I'd try covering him all the way in fur. I have sewn his head and tail and the rest is just scraps draped.

Here is a more normal picture.

I'm waiting for more fur to arrive. This is fake rabbit fur (beige) from Distinctive Fabric. I trimmed the fur around his head. I'll probably do that with the fur on his legs and maybe belly also.

I have no idea how poseable he will be once he's covered. I'm going to do the legs separately from the body, leaving the joints uncovered where the legs and body meet.

Whoo Hoo! I have fur!

So I did this this evening.

It looks not hugely different from the previous picture, but the torso fur is sewn on, the tail is also, and I've at least confirmed that the legs still work with all that fur.

Next up (sometime this weekend) is covering the legs and redoing the head.

Blog post has many construction pictures.

I decided not to cover the feet. I like the posing and balancing ability of these dogs and did not want to compromise it. Besides, the furry feet looked completely stupid!

Different head, trimmed back.
