I'm Nimarkiva, or Nim for short. I'm a writer, illustrator, and general artist- I do photography, cooking, baking, recipe creation, sculpting, beadwork, and wirework.I love art, and I've been in the BJD hobby for nearly three years now, with a large resin and ABS family.

This site looks like a fun and relaxed one, which I am super excited about. I've got a Hujoo Arthur who should be here on Monday....and I realized I couldn't post him at any of the other forums I'm on except as an off-topic thread. That's not cool, an ABS dollieh is no different than a resin doll.....they're all jointed, they're all something we can customize, and they're all awesome.

So, here I am. :)

Welcome!

It is a fun and relaxed site, and we like all dolliehs here :)

Awesome! I'm going to enjoy it here, then. I'm working on a hybrid sculpt of my own.....that again, wouldn't be allowed on most BJD sites except as off-topic. I have to admit, I've never understood the reasoning behind a wonderful vinyl being different than a resin. The little guy I'm working on is half resin, sculpted and cast myself, and half 21cm Obitsu.

So, I'm very happy to be at a relaxed forum with no dollieh-descrimination.

Hi Nim, nice to meet you!! I'm new here too :D Wow your hobbies are awesome! I really like art too, I'm trying to learn how to sew to customize my dolls by myself, unfortunately it's not that easy for me heheh, but I'll keep trying! And I'd really like to learn how to take good photos :)

By the way, I'm in love with vinyl dolls, as I can see on photos and comments, they pose much better than resin dolls, don't they? I have a big resin girl and her poses are... sigh... let's say she's beautiful, but that's all.
See you around!
