Dollieh Sanctuary

This is part of why I don't go on Tumblr anymore, and they had a really sweet EAH community back in the day. But like so many parts of the internet, things aren't the way they used to be.

I pretty much deliberately got myself banned from that place a long time ago. But I remember the poop storms.

Tumblr is a poopy place of the internet. Also, Ball Jointed Dolls have been called that since the 1800s or even before. It means different things to different collectors depending on their niche interests in the huge realm of doll collecting.

I've been using the internet since the 1990s, never was stalked or cyber-bullied until last year. It was creepy and weird, so I get you. <virtual hug> It's a bad feeling for sure, and us adults are much better equipped to handle it than younger people. I feel incredibly bad for young people nowadays, because we didn't have this sort of documentation of our youthful follies.

Whenever I come across these sorts of things, I'm reminded of that movie Idiocracy, once the initial shock of the absurdity wears off, it's funny more than anything.

Different drama, but related. I have now been informed that i can no longer post pictures of my current Cherry incarnation on yet another forum that wants to br DoA when it grows up.

Fail. *sympathy*

Hehe, yeah, i think at the end of the day it's here that I'm happiest. No judgment, no drama, just fun with pretty dolls. And MADh Vinyl. Let's not forget that.
