Wait what?!?!? OK I went to Thingiverse just now, and I see BJDs. Do you have to print them yourself or can you buy them from the designer?

What you can do is both- you can print them off, or at the side there beneath all of the likes and stuff, you can order a print of it. It's "Order this printed" and is in the column of text. Then you choose if you want PLA or ABS- I ordered ABS- and you can pick all sorts of different colors. It's pretty easy, and they accept Paypal. :)

Fast, too, a week or less.

OMG that is soooo cool! Thank you for the help! I've never been there before and was a bit overwhelmed. :)

Not the best picture, but the dragon is also from thingiverse (one of the very first things printed on my 3d printer).

@Geekmama

She arrived, but there was one "oops"....the girl isn't 1/3 scale, she's actually 1/12 scale. Her files are marked as 1/3, and she looked 1/3 in the first picture, but what arrived was a 1/12 scale. I may have ordered something wrong or something, and for $20 including the shipping cost I'm not mad at all, she's still pretty neat and will be a lot of fun.

Now I'm just waiting on wigs and eyes.

EDIT:

Pffft, nope, Nim's just a dummy and ordered the wrong one. Trying this again. XD

@Nimarkiva

$20 is still a fantastic price, and how cool to have a 1/12 mature (I'm guessing) BJD!

I'm off to do more happy browsing. I'd love to see pics of your girl!

Yup, I love her, she is a mature sculpt 1/12. Actually, looking at her compared to my 1/12 Xaga Doll boy, I think she's a bit smaller.

She's a mature sculpt, and there will be pictures just as soon as I sand up some of the 3D print lines and figure out how I'm going to string her. :)

Maybe Beadalion elastic string will work. When I did an Eve Studio I had to use beading wire to make hooks.
