Dark Skin Tone

My husband wants to create a doll to portray Tuon from Wheel of Time. He insists she must be very dark skinned. I know Iplehouse JID Benny fits the bill, and there's even one for sale on the MP, but she's naturally pricy. Are there any other dolls more readily available in dark skin tones?

IMPLdoll does a very dark tan too.

They do in the SD size, but I should add that he wants an MSD - a small MSD at that ..... he's not picky or anything ....

Yeah BBB/RS dark tan is still an option but it's one of the emaily ones rather than listed

Yeah, I was looking at some of the dark tan Bobobies on Flickr. That's an option if I want to get him the doll for a gift, because now he's balking at the prices again. Darn it. I was trying to get him to go with each of us paying for 1/2 of the Benny on the MP 'cuz .... well, she's an Iplehouse! LOL!

If it helps, Benny is an exquisite doll - worth every penny. I bought mine from richila and I just love her - even though she is currently sitting in the queue of dolls awaiting their "full look".

never compromise when you want what you want. Bobobie dark tan is ok, but it's got nothing on the luscious rich color of an Iplehouse. If you go with the BBB and then see a Benny in real life - you will find yourself regretting not having gotten her.

There's always dying too, if you find a sculpt you like that doesn't come in a dark color. People have gotten some really nice results by dying.

Heehee . . . yeah I'm jonesing for that Benny. My problem is I have an Illusion Spirit Anabel on layaway and can't justify Benny right now.
