Necro-bump:

Mr B showed up! ...Sadly I'm now immediately waiting on replacements - both headsculpts had been through the wars getting here, but the sculptor/organiser of all of this very kindly said I could also keep the two damaged heads to do what I want with (seriously I don't know what the post-office did to the package but it looked like something had tried to eat it). Anyhow... You guys asked to see the sculpt when he turned up so just putting this here to show you how awesome the sculpt is irregardless of the fact that he's missing his ears/has a few dings:

Methinks the bald-guy who looks like he's had a run-in with Van Gogh will end up being done up as Jareth, since that hairstyle completely hides the ears anyway, not yet sure what I'm going to do with the damaged Thin White Duke haired sculpt but I'm sure I'll think of something

Edit:

Tiny Tony's body showed up! (Nope - haven't quite gotten my act together wrt his outfit or the Iron Man mods... But suffice it to say Tiny!Tony is just as shameless as his larger counterparts...

When did Obitsu switch to rubber feet for these guys? Don't get me wrong - the rubber makes more sense than the old plastic feet in the case of the 11cms, the triplets are always losing their feet to their shoes... But for a moment I was paranoidly worried I'd picked up one of these by accident:

However, the new body came in the same familiar little coffin-like Obitsu box with all the option hands/neck posts present and correct - and from Mandarake as a new item so I'm sure it's fine. :?

So, my new arrivals? My very first Pullips! Well, a Pullip and an Isul, if I'm being exact:

(Sorry for the mess behind them, I'm reorganizing my figure display) BUT YES! I adore them to pieces, though I think I need to give some care to Hatter's wig, it feels a bit tangled up. Braid spray to the rescue.

Try a 2 part medium like Milliput or Apoxie Sculpt to repair the heads. I've done an ear and lots of other missing or broken parts on many types of solid heads. Paint covers it right up.

From Dead Collector to Doctor-

For Jareth hair I don't know if the Monique Starr wig comes that small but fake fur might work if you want it soft.

Thanks for the tip! If you hadn't shown me the before shot I'd have never have guessed that the Doc used to be Dead Collector Eric Idle warts and all! I think I'll make more of a bonding slip from the milliput than using it in a sculptural way though - I've got the tiny pieces of his ears, it's just working out how the jigsaw puzzle fits together that's going to be the issue (and whether the plastic itself warped when it got broken).

Ah - the hair thing makes me extremely grateful for the little postage accident that means I'm getting replacements actually...

The technique that the 'action figure' hobbyists use is fairly similar to the hardcap wigs that we see on the more uniquely shaped bjd heads at a minute scale, and worse still, applied directly to the headsculpt itself. The guys who do it tend to favour tibetan/alpacca wool for it's incredible fineness, which is easily acquired I suppose! I may try to do a teeny hardcap wig for Jareth, but for the hairstyle I was going to attempt to recreate on old-no-ears there it really does need to be applied direct to the scalp. So I'm glad I'll be able to get a little practice in before having to do it 'for real' (Earthling-era Bowie when he had the fairly short but incredibly spiky orange and blue hair, and his ridiculous but somehow stylish, Union Jack frock-coat.)
