1/12 Wednesday Addams - ADVICE NEEDED

Postby werepuppy » Mon Aug 21, 2017 2:28 pm

Okay so I guess this is technically more of an action figure than a doll, but I went with fabric clothing and wool hair and ... well, I'm just at a lost as to how to actually give her a face. And wondering if anyone can help me out. I'm thinking maybe a decal but I don't think I'd find them small enough for her. IDK. Shes about Figuart sized. Any help would be great, guys!

I used a paint pen with a 1mm tip to color Richi's mouth. She wears a 2 inch wig. You can also use a very sharp watercolor pencil to do brows. I can't help you on eyes, Richi has Dreaming tree 4mm set in.

Practice painting with a tooth pick or strait pin and acrylic paint.

Look up tutorial for painting faces (and eyes) on gaming miniatures. They are typically about 1/48 scale and 28-30mm tall. People do paint eyes on them!

A very good tutorial on the Reaper Miniatures forums (they make very good paint) was called Betty Davis Eyes.
