Dollieh Sanctuary

So I'm working on a stand-in for the spider girl doll I want to get, and all of a sudden, I remember that I have a spare Wonder Woman body and head that I've long since cleaned the factory paint off of, and a bunch of hair hanks from Dollyhair.com, and my brain goes "You could always use the WW body and head to make Mirden*, since she's shaped similarly..."

So I'm working on Mirden now.


*Mirden is my favorite, highest-level WoW toon

A few hours later.... Ready for hot water. I'll be trimming above the hair tie, and painting her face later.when it's warmer.

You going to make Uther, too?

Someday. when I'm not being told that I have to clean stuff up....

Oh yay, WoW character dolls. Awesome! You did a very nice reroot. I am looking forward to seeing the clothes!

Thanks. I used the original holes, and added a few in some of the bare spots. I'm pretty sure the hair I have is saran, because it didn't really react to the water I heated to tea temperature. I'll try again with hotter water, and then I'll work on her face.

Dolly update, with pictures to come later... hotter water worked, and now I've got Mirden's hair shielded with a piece of scrap fabric, and I've sprayed three coats of MSC over the last day (I went to sleep before I could spray a second coat, and did the most recent coats earlier today), and I'm debating one last coat, or just starting with sketching out the faceup.
