Hilda gets a body.

Barbie, Jenny, Fashion Royalty, Obitsu and 1/6 resins - basically anything 10-12inch/21-27cm or in the neighborhood.

Hilda gets a body.

So yeah, from her butt markings I discovered she was a #6 or #7 barbie since her butt says:

Midge T.M.
(c) 1962
Barbie(R)
(c)1958
by
Mattel, Inc.
Patented

Hilda is a mish mash of Mattel dolls. She has the torso and upper arms of those big headed Three Wee Friends Stacie posable dolls, the high heeled legs of a Barbie (I found the body with a broken neck and snapped elbow but high heeled legs are still hard to find jointed) with the arms of a Happy Family Midge.

Lillith is still top dog around here.

And a body comparison.

She turned out nice but I'm starting wonder if your desk looks like a 1/6 scale version of Dr. Frankenstein's lab. Her shirt is really cute, BTW. Did you make it?

Wow! I'm amazed at how you franken-dolled her together.

Someday I will have enough spare bodies to manage such things. Some day...

Woo! I love seeing hybrid bodies, in fact I'd say full-frankendolling is probably my favorite thing about this hobby! <3
Hilda's new body really suits her, too--she's a pretty, willowy thing.

Keep posting your vintage peeps, they are awesome and I love seeing what awesome things you do with them! :D

David, thanks! Actually I just have a couple of boxes sorted by their usefulness (full body articulation, upper, lower, unique torso shape, etc) and I just rummage through those when bored

Actually, Andrea/An42/DollsAhoy made the shirt (hence the real buttonholes)

Eseme, yardsales are your friend... *coughcough* It's definitely hard to resist when the dolls are about under $3 each...

Pandor, thanks! It's what I love about the hobby, shoving random stuff together muahhahahahaahhaa.

Now, to keep my eye out for more yardsales with $2 vintage dolls.
