BFC head replacement?

Postby Wardah » Mon Aug 23, 2010 9:50 am

I found that the new BFC bodies now have a "100's of poses" style body and for 30 bucks it seems like a tempting alternative for a body. All I would need to get would be the head. Does anyone know a good head that will fit? Something with maybe a bit more of an "Asian" aesthetic than those American Girl-ish BFC heads? Would a 47cm Angela Obitsu head work or something else? Thanks.

Is this a new 18 inch body or the same old one? The Angela head is really large- I think it would look bobble-headed on that body. If you want a more realistic look, I think I would go for a haruka or Megu head. If you have a link to new information about these dolls, can you provide it? I'm still looking for an inexpensive but more posable body to put my Little Apple doll head on.

Don't forget the Sheba head, it's designed to look like an asian schoolgirl. Also, if you want the Anime style, there is the Obitsu Designer Head. Junkyspot has them.

I saw them in the store. It seems to be the same size as the old one but just much more poseable. I found a pic on Flickr:

The heads you mentioned are for 1/3 scale dolls. Will they work on an 18in body? I really like the style of the Designer head.

Any of the heads designed SPECIFICALLY for the 50cm body are actually MSD sized...

What about Pullip or Blythe heads? Ignoring the body, would you say the heads seem around MSD size?

Pullip heads are bigger than most SD heads, Blythe are even bigger.
That said, I am now incredibly curious to see what a Pullip head would look like on one of those bodies.
(Or a Taeyang head on that boy-BFC body...)

The Megu head is the smallest at 17.5 cm and it would look okay on that body. The Designer head is even larger than the Angela head, I think. Unless you are talking about the anime-looking default head that comes on the 50 cm body? I might have one here I could send you for the price of postage (five or ten bucks).
