Finale Elsa 17" LE OOAK Doll

Postby SetsunaKou » Sat Apr 11, 2020 2:54 pm

The final gemstones finally arrived a few days ago, so I immediately went to work finishing up my Finale Elsa 17" LE doll! When I got her from Disney store a few weeks ago, I completely redid her from head to toe---literally, since I switched her body to have the heeled feet LE body (I really dislike those jointed ankles!) and totally restyled her hair as well with more accurate bangs and waves. I also slimmed her head slightly and gave her an entire new faceup to look more like the movie. I also remade her dress as well! I had to because not only did DS not use velvet as stated in the artbooks what her gown is made of, but they put a waist seam! :cries: I had to fix it! And it was a challenge to be sure! I used white glimmer velvet for her gown, removed the white opaque chiffon they put on the bottom of her skirt so it's more sheer like it ought to be, changed the sleeves, too, to be glimmer velvet and changed the short organza capelets into long draping ombre chiffon ones with real AB long clear navette and rhombus gemstones instead of printing. Her bodice, sleeves are full of navette and rhombus gems in the proper colors and sizes and her collar I cut the inner lining and the sheer top part so it's more accurate, then added hundreds of teeny faux pearls to her collar and chest to really look like the film. I also added hundreds of faux AB crystal gems to her velvet dress and chiffon capelets, as well as adding tiny navette blue gems to her leggings and sandals which I reshaped to fit on her high heeled feet better. It was super hard to remake her in every way, but so worth it! I love her so much now and hope you do too! :hugs: Thanks for looking and God bless you all! Keep safe and Happy Resurrection Easter Sunday to you all!!!!

Your version is 100% better than the original. Great job on everything.

Gorgeous! The neckline is perfection and the chiffon drapes really set it off properly. Disney needs to hire you!
Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.
