I saw her in the DoA intro thread. Very nice looking - I'm enjoying the Doll Leaves creativity though I'm not rushing to buy one right now.

The faceups on the two newest dolls are a bit much. I do like the facial sculpts of the first two (W and M) a lot. I was going to get them both at some point to be friends for Peyton and Lael. but now that I have Allen, I think I might only get W (the elf). I can't tell if I like L's face though because the makeup is so horrendous. They usually have blank head shots though so I will wait to decide.

I'm trying to sweet talk our favorite dealer into ordering one for me without the faceup because I'm just going to be removing it as soon as it comes in. I want the blue dress, too. Waaaaaant!

She looks a lot like a dollzone. Lola or whatever and the SDs flower and bug girls (Beeta? Violetta? ??)

I actually don't see that at all. I equate a lot of Dollzone sculpts with pig nose syndrome. (When I see a doll I've not seen before with this kind of nose I guess Dollzone and I'm right. Don't get me wrong, there are certain Dollzone sculpts that I would love to own, but I really don't like the pig-noses although my floating head has it...it's when I was holding the head in my hands that I saw this little dollzone marker, and when i see their dolls online, I can see a lot of their sculpts have it.)There's something about the way they sculpt their noses, esp with the smaller dolls. Wide nose bridge and less articulation of the point of the nose. Granted, their larger dolls don't usually show this but you can still see they put a lot less articulation into the nose point than Doll-Leaves does. This is one of the areas where I really like Doll-Leaves. The noses are quite unique for each sculpt. Looking at the mini size pages for both companies, I can even see that they have different facial balance preferences. Dollzone likes an extremely heart shaped face in most cases while Doll-leaves has more variation and the two mini sculpts it has with heart shaped faces have less chubby cheeks than Dollzone.

I dunno...i really don't see it. I think if someone took pictures of blank faces next to each other you would definitely see there are huge differences. I wouldn't even say there is any influence from Dollzone on Doll Leaves.
