Mirodoll Mika in Ebony

Postby cirquemom » Thu Oct 22, 2015 3:55 pm

Mirodoll makes one of the "least expensive" dolls out there, but I just love this one. This is their Mika sculpt in ebony resin. She was supposed to be "dark chocolate" colored but ended up this dark payne's grey. No worries, I still love the color. As far as posing- they are about like Resinsoul. But very nice dolls for the price.

thank you! As you all know, it can be hard to find darker-skinned dolls. This was a custom color for me by Mirodoll, and there was a little misunderstanding in the translation, lol. She was supposed to be a dark chocolate. Instead she is a very deep Payne's Grey. Which is okay- I've always loved Payne's Grey. My husband finds her "scary", lol. But I love her. What I love about her is that she has ethnic features- not just Caucasian features in dark resin.

I have one of these too, in the "dark tan" but it looks ebony. When I get her face and eyes put together I'll have to share her. Did you have any trouble finding a wig to fit?

After looking all over for the "perfect" wig and being unable to find one, I discovered I already had this one here in my trove. I think I had gotten it for my Planet Doll Tara and didn't really like her in it. I *think* it's a 7/8 wig, and it is Tibetan Lambswool. No idea where I got it from. Maybe Tinybear?

I think the color looks more realistic than some of the dark chocolate I have seen. I have met several people who have that color skin, including a good friend. I love the face on her too!
