The Elusive Seedring Male

Postby cirquemom » Tue Mar 08, 2016 4:51 pm

This guy has always been one of my Grail dolls. Made by Obitsu in 2005 for a character designed by Sho-u Tajima called "The Boy of Waste Management" or something like that. These are very, very hard to come by, but a friend (!!!!) pointed one out to me on Taobao last year and....the rest is history. He arrived with a broken neck piece inside of his head, so he's been in my studio with a wobbly head. I just fixed it today. These are the default pants that come with his outfit. They were pleather but deteriorated into a black slime, so I peeled it off and found these okay charcoal gray pants underneath. I absolutely love this guy. He is about 57 cm. K2! has one who is his Kaji character in MADh Vinyl.

That one's on me for several reasons. First, I don't shoot many close ups and second, I'm nowhere near the photographer Cirquemom is.

"Serviceable Photographer" (me)

"Professional Photographer" (Cirquemom)

That's why Cirquemom is doing high resolution photo art books with her dolls and I'm doing a low rez web comic.

Aw shucks, K2!, you're making my head big....
Actually- I think the difference is I only shoot in natural light, usually outside, at certain times a day. Which severely limits the available time I have to shoot. Where as K2! can shoot anytime.
