resinsoul makes some pretty sd girls 60cm-70cm all in your price range with money left over for wig&clothes
on doa people seemed to like the lostangel dolls rather inexpensive too.
lets see on ebay you can get b&g type 1 dolls for that price too

I'm hesitate to get a large doll from BBB/Resinsoul since I'm currently rather unhappy with my Mei. Once I get her back home from the spa and restring/suede her perhaps my concerns will end. *hopes*

Thanks for the suggestions/comments, y'all! We are getting unexpected money back from taxes so I get a little more dolly money to play with. I've decided on AoD Qian! Now I just have to coordinate a special order with Emory!

AoD Qian is the doll my friend has -- she is really lovely, I think you'll be pleased with her!

Okay... I don't have a five-star doll, I have a fantasy doll Nina.
First of all, AoD dolls are the most under-rated dolls in the "hobby". They are very nice, pose extremely well, and have a lot of different (and lovely) heads to chose from.
Fantasy Doll only has Nina, as far as I know, but I like her very much. Very good quality for the money, well-strung, poses pretty well. More of an anime-type face, but still lovely. Here she is posing in one of my outfits:

She's lovely, Mommieh. I'm still waiting to hear from Emory on the special order for Qian, but if I can't get her, Nina would be my backup choice, for sure - such a serene expression!

OBITSU!!! WOO!

Oh... was that not an option?

Ok then... AoD. Because they are the only ones I'm familiar with. I had a MSD AoD doll. And I liked her a lot. Nice sturdy doll.
