Ball joint clay or other kind of clay? Like squishy cloth it just takes practice.

We ought to compare doll books some day.

like, making bjds out of clay. my problem is probably trying to make anatomically perfect ones.

I almost forgot I wanted to try some head/busts out of clay with cloth bodies.

well, if I ever get around to it, I'll try to photograph them and we can make a sticky post about doll making books!

It might be easier for you to make a solid figure then cut it apart and add joints. Or make a mold of it then chop up the casting. My snags have been with getting the joints to lock in place.
