I love the bright, cheerful colors... and the great big grin... in the Christmas presents pics! That's what I remember Christmas morning feeling like to me when I was a little kid!

Viola is a perfect combination of creepy and cute! I like her!

An odd little one; this is actually a Steiff teddy bear necklace. It's adorable.

Yupp! Steiff will always find a way to put their button on their products.

Funnily enough, that was my first reaction to seeing this.

Mini Steiff bears. Aunt Lucy and Paddington - based more on the movie designs but still! Ah, they're so adorable, and lovely. It's not clear in the picture, but Aunt Lucy even has a little beaded necklace!

I remember how surprised and pleased I was to find the button on the ear of a mother and baby teddy bear that I bought at the thrift store. It was the first time I think I'd ever touched a Steiff bear. I didn't keep them, though, because I'd bought them for a friend who had just lost her leg. That was just before the pandemic shut everything down.

Aww, that's lovely! I hope your friend liked them, and is recovering well!

365. Sewing: Basil's Dennis the Menace Outfit

Image

Another little outfit for Basil, and another one that is inspired by a British comic book character. This time Dennis the Menace, who debuted the same week as his US counterpart but is a good bit more naughty than him. Even if that's been pulled back a lot more. Here's a history of him on wiki: here. Still, every kid knows his red and black striped jumper and his black shorts. It suits Basil.
