Will a 6-7 wig work for this doll?

Postby IgareldaGrimmenth » Mon Apr 17, 2017 3:30 pm

So I accidently ordered a size 6-7 mohair wig for my hujoo dana. It says on the junky spot that she takes a 7-8. Will this size still fit her?

Probably not if it's mohair. There usually isn't much give in a mohair wig, unless it's wefted onto a fabric cap instead of using the natural skin cap. You MIGHT be able to stretch it out enough to fit if you wet the skin cap and stretch it over the doll's head while wet, and allow it to dry that way (just cover her head with a plastic baggy in the meantime).

If your doll's head is closer to a 7 than the 8... I have a boy who's head is exactly 7... he's always had a 6/7, but they have to be stretchy.

I am thinking it is a synthetic mohair wig seeing as it was much cheaper than most other ones on etsy.

I dunno, I've bought a few real mohair wigs from Etsy for a pretty good price. Less than $50. If it's synthetic mohair it usually will say so in the description. But I guess you'll know when it arrives.

The obvious solution is to buy a doll lwith a 6-7 size head. ;)

I hope it fits, though. I have mixed experiences with wigs and their supposed sizes. :/
