New Arrivals!

These to are my soon to be Reini and Sheen. Reini is the one in pink, Sheen is the one in the purple Monster High pajamas. However . . . I think I'm going to have to get different heads for them. Sheen's head looks way to big compared to Reini's, and Reini's head looks too small compared to my other 1/6 scale dolls. I think I can make the same face I used for Reini work for Sheen, and vice versa. Sadly, they have different skin tones. Oh well, this was an experiment, and I have learned something in the process.

Also, for anyone wondering about Reini's outfit, the pants are from a Funville Sparkle Girlz fashion pack, and the shirt is from a fashion pack the Walmart line of mini dolls that are the same size as American Girl mini dolls. The shirts are a good size for Barbie.

Dolls don't mind different sized heads and parts as much as people do. Go ahead and give them face-ups as they are and they'll grow on you.

They look very cute in their new outfits. You could always get a smaller head for the one doll.

Reini's head has started to grow on me, and she looks okay if she isn't RIGHT beside my other dolls, but Sheen has to have a different head. The more I look at it, the more we both agree that this one just isn't for her. So I let her pick out a new one, with the correct hair color so she won't need a reroot. I'm just waiting to see if it might get included in JunkySpot's sale. I doubt it will, but you never know. But yeah, she and I both dislike this head . . . But I think I'll probably make an Alice in Wonderland doll or something at some point, so the head will go in the spare parts box for now.

(As a random side note, I'm waiting for an email back from JunkySpot in regards to Sheen's hands and neck pieces. There was a manufacturing error and her white skinned body got packaged with fleshtone hands and neck pieces. :P)

Yeah, the little one isn't liking her current head much . . . Reini's head is growing on me, but Sheen continues to express her dislike for this one. It's weird how a head with no face can somehow glare at you . . . Like, you don't even have EYEBROWS, how can you look this mad at me?!

I'm quite pleased to have found that most Bratz and Monster High clothes will fit Sheen, though. I was afraid I wouldn't have anything to fit her when she arrived, but for some reason, despite having not Bratz dolls in my collection, I have Bratz clothes, as well as quite a few spare MH clothes that didn't make it into storage with my MH dolls. Sheen claimed Clawdeen's spare pajamas as her own until we can do a little shopping.
