Fiber Wig Dying?

Does anyone know if it's possible, or wise, to dye a fiber wig? I'm looking at a particular wig but the color (on the ends) isn't quite right and I want to add some red or deep red to it - if I can find the right Ritz color. I just don't want to spend $20 on a wig and ruin it if the dye won't take. Any help would be appreciated!

I would think if you got the dye for non-natural fibers that it would work. The only problem I can think of is that most of the dye's that I have seen require heat and it could curl or frizz the ends. I suggest Copic markers! I know they work on costume wigs.

Oh yeah ... good idea. I did forget about the whole heat thing. It's a straight wig and I want to keep it that way.
