Sewing for dolls offers different challenges than sewing for people. As the doll size gets smaller the challenges increase. As I've shifted my doll interests from 22" dolls to 12"-8" dolls, my frustration has increased! I've been trawling the net for more tips on small doll sewing and I thought I'd share my results.

This site is a great, thorough, multi page extravaganza of tips

Peristroika has free patterns and lots of sewing tips

I especially like the sock tips, which are, at their heart, really about sewing with knits

These next two sites offer some good ideas

If anyone has any other links, feel free to post them. I need all the help I can get

Ooooh! Thanks so much for those links. They're super helpful esp since I have really only been focusing on the small Obitsus and neglecting most of my BJDs.

I don't know if this helps but when sewing short skirts, I use ribbon and pleat it. It works for my 16 inch doll, the inch and half wide is the perfect length for a mini skirt. You don't have to hem the bottom, just roll hem the ends, pleat, and put a fastener of some sort to hold it on her waist. Hope this helps!
