What's a doll needle?

It's a looong needle to use for sewing on button jointed arms and legs.

They're also called 'soft sculpture needles'. They are a bit thicker than most hand sewing needles but have sharp points.

They're what I use for needle and thread rerooting, with a thick metal thimble.
