Hi everyone! Wow, it's been a long time since I've posted here. >w<; Fixing that now! Aaaaand, I have a new custom to post about! Her name is Umeko, and I just finished her today! She's my custom Gooliope Jellington, the 17" Monster High. As soon as I heard about her I wanted to custom her! She's about as big as my MSD. O_O She's been in the works for a while, but I finally got everything figured out and finished, so here she is!

She has a new faceup, wig, inset eyes, outfit, repainted shoes, and the drips on her body have been painted black and glossed. Her wig is from AnimeStuffStore, and it's an AMAZING little wig! However... If you look at the wig on their store you'll notice there are TWO clip-on ponytails. Umeko here only has one, which is clipped in the back. The reason for this? Kittens are the bane of wigs. @A@ On the same day the wig arrived, our new kitten stole one of the ponytails while I was out of the room and completely destroyed it. I managed to comb it out and re-twirl the curls, but it was still so frayed and frizzed at the bottom that it's pretty much ruined. So I'm down one ponytail for poor little Umeko. At least it wasn't the base wig that got ruined. But I think the one ponytail suits her, it kinda looks like a Hime hairstyle. ^.^

It was really fun working on her, and I actually just ordered the three new 17" dolls to custom too. lol These three will be for sale, as I'm going to force myself to only keep ONE, which is Umeko here. I need to do more customs to sell, I can't continue to keep them all. XD Oh, the struggle...

Oh my gosh, she's stunning! You did an amazing job on her, the faceup is particularly good. I've seen pics of this doll as she comes out of the box, and thought she looked garish. Your restyle is amazing!

Thank you so much! =^.^= I didn't really like Gooliope's style much either, though I'm also biased about her because I've always disliked pink and yellow together. Makes me think of a strawberry lemon cake. @A@ Gotta say though, she was definitely impressive to see in person! She was bigger than I thought she'd be. lol

She is gorgeous, I love the drips that was a brilliant idea! What was she like to repaint as I noticed she has a harder head than a normal MH do the same rules apply?

Thank you! She wasn't much different than the normal MH's to work with. The decals were more stubborn, but paint thinner still managed to remove them pretty easily. I actually had a much easier time working with her after that than the normal dolls. The eyes were a little tricky to carve out, but easier to make adjustments to after cutting the basic shape. I think these large MH's are my favorite to customize now. ^.^ I really hope they continue to make them! And from the way the new ones are selling, I can't imagine they'll stop.
