The new Jem and the Holograms doll was FINALLY available for shipping to me on Walmart's website! Yay! I've been holding out buying her secondhand for MONTHS hoping she'd be available for shipping in my area.

I know, I'm so excited! She's the first doll I've purchased basically since the Monster High days that's just for collecting purposes and not for a custom.

Update: She's here and I'm obsessed!

I've seen her in the wild, she's a nice balance of the look of the 80s cartoon with the more "realistic body" of many of today's dolls.

I'd be more interested if I didn't already have a herd of Liv dolls and Jem and company colored wigs for them. That was one buying spree with foresight that I've never quite regretted, along with snagging all the used ones I've ever found.

You know those random soldier dolls on Amazon? I've been looking for more masculine dolls and I got hella curious, so I ordered two, and they arrived over the weekend. Full review on my blog.

Hmmm, they look like the descendants of the old Power Team Elite/Click N Play soldiers. The biggest thing to watch out for is that the inside of the boots don't start to feel wet because they could melt the legs. They look like nice budget 30 point articulation guys.

If they are from the PTE factory I hope they put out the different face molds. Some of them look a little familiar, some a lot.

Most of a Barbie Eleganza II motorhome that has not been sat upon and broken by a little sister. The few missing pieces like the table and faucet will be replaced from my previous model.

Then Darci will get behind the wheel, Tropical Miko and Puff the Cat will be among the passengers, I will tie a shoelace around the beam in the front, and it will drive somewhere to park next to a picnic blanket which will be an island and Barbies will use single sox and booties as mermaid tails. The only boy doll allowed will be Joey McIntyre.

Thanks for the heads up on the boots. I already have them in different clothes and shoes, I'll throw out their boots if they get weird. the box said KadHobby, which I've never heard of, but I'm not really in the little army men circles, so I wouldn't know.

They look pretty good for the price point. 1/6 military is definitely a rabbit hole and some will give smaller BJDs a run for their money. They'll paint easily with acrylics and chalk pastels if you want to give them make overs.
